Abstract

With the development of multimedia application, the image tampering meth ods should be improved to promote the progress of digital forensic technique. In the forgery JPEG image created by Copy-Paste operation, the DCT block artifact consistency is bro ken. The forgery could be detected and located by extracting the incoherence of DCT block artifact grid (BAG). To remove the fragility of Copy-Paste operation, we proposed a novel algorithm to eliminate the inconsistencies of BAG in the forgery image. This method is based on the detail-preserving filter. After filtering, the DCT block artifact grid become consistent and the image quality is preserved.
