Abstract
A new guidance law of HP (Head Pursuit) was proposed to eliminate the perturbation of interceptor detection induced by high speed. The guidance law positioned the interceptor missile ahead of the target on its flight trajectory, and the speed of interceptor was required to be lower than that of the target. A head pursuit nonlinear variable structure control guidance law was presented based on Lyapunov stability theory, considering the kinematics of interception and the uncertainty of target acceleration. Numerical simulation results verified the rightness of the guidance model and the effectiveness of the guidance law.
