Abstract

Doping CeO2 and CuO in SBN and using Si-Mo bar as heater, SBN: Ce:Cu crystal was grown by the Czochralski method. The crystal was oxidized or reduced. Four waves mixing path was taken to measure the phase conjugate reflectivity and response time of the as-grown SBN: Ce:Cu. Ar+ laser (λ=514.5 nm) was used as light source and the self-pump phase conjugate reflectivity and response time of oxidized SBN:Ce:Cu were measured. He-Ne laser (λ=632.8 nm) was used as light source and the self-pump phase conjugate reflectivity and response time of reduced SBN:Ce:Cu were also measured. Using the phase conjugate reflector made of SBN:Ce:Cu as feedback threshold element, the holographic associative storage was realized.
