Abstract

This paper gives a comprehensive review on ground radiation antennas. Ground radiation antennas are developed to achieve miniaturization and performance enhancement for mobile antennas. The operation concept is demonstrated first, and various techniques including wideband, multiband, high-sensitivity, multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) and circular polarization are then introduced. Some commercial examples are also listed to demonstrate the feasibility in mobile applications.
