Abstract

The microstructure, phase constituents and hardness of Cr-Mo-Cu alloy cast iron modified with and without nano-additives were characterized with XRD.SEM and micro-hardness tester. The grinding efficiency and service life of grinding boards made of Cr-Mo-Cu alloy cast iron were examined in production. The results show that the morphology of graphite transforms from small amount of thick-long flake to big amount of thin-short vermicular after nano modification. Furthermore, the grain size is refined. The XRD peaks become broader and shift. The hardness is significantly increased. The grinding efficiency and service life of the Cr-Mo-Cu alloy east iron grinding boards are obviously improved.
