Abstract

The influence of ac electric voltages on the flow of nickel particles ranging from a hopper into a vertical pipe was studied. Three flow rate regimes A1, A2, and B were observed and explained. Furthermore, evidence was obtained that the applied electric field retard the nickel granular flow.
