Abstract

Fuzzy Logic is utilized to plan the optimal assembly sequence. From the analysis of the features of assembly sequence evaluation, six factors influencing the generation of assembly sequence are given and membership functions of these factors are established. Then the easy assembly criterion and the algorithm of generating assembly sequence are presented. The proposed method is illustrated by an example of assembly sequence planning of an aero engine.
