Abstract
For a sparse multi-path MIMO-OFDM channel, a generalized Akaike information criterion (GAIC) based channel estimation applied approach is proposed. The channel length and the time delays of each path can be identified by using the proposed method. The performance loss caused by AWGN (Additive white Gaussian noise) can be reduced and the channel estimation precision can be improved with the approach. Simulation results show that compared with DFT method and the previous approach, the method can reduce the channel estimation error and improve the system performance. Meanwhile as the number of channel path decreases, the proposed method performs better.
