Fuzzy contour control strategy for the ultra precision machine tool

Abstract

To solve the problem of low accuracy and poor robustness caused by the nonlinear and time-variant characteristics in the contour control system of the ultra precision machine tool, a contour error model for the optical surface based on the general optic function is established, and a fuzzy cross coupled contour control algorithm is presented. Simulation and actual circular contour tracking experiment prove that this control strategy can effectively improve the system robustness and the contour accuracy.
