Abstract
There are many features on a palm and different features reflect the different characteristic of a palmprint. Fusion of multiple palmprint features may enhance the performance of palmprint authentication system. In this paper, we investigate the fusion of the textural feature (PalmCode) and the palm-lines. Several fusion strategies have been compared. The experimental results show that the original PalmCode scheme is optimal for the very high security systems, while the fusion of the Palm-Code and palm-lines using the Weighted Sum Strategy is the best choice for other systems.
