Abstract
In this paper, based on the theory of electromechanical-energy-conversion of traditional electric rotating machine, the concept of the third function of electric machine is provided. Instead of output mechanical energy or electric energy, the new concept machine make full use of the copper loss, eddy current loss, hysteresis loss, mechanical loss and so on, and the input energy convert to heat energy completely. A novel electromagnetic heat engine is fabricated. The fundamental principle, configuration and application field is given and the feasibility is discussed. The basic theoretical analyses and experiments are carried out. The experiments indicate that the novel rotating electromagnetic heat engine not only has the merits of high efficiency, high temperature ascending grads, but also has effects of magnetization and softening on the water medium. This kind of novel heat engine has a wide application prospect.
