Abstract
Fullerenethiol was synthesized and self-assembled on the surface of gold nanoparticle to form a homogeneous bright ring with a thickness of 4a-5 nm. Optical limiting performance of the corea-shell nanoparticles was investigated with nanosecond pulse. The experimental results show that the gold nanoparticles possess better optical limiting effect compared with the parent fullerenethiol.
