Abstract
Frosting on the surface of airside exchanger is a major problem affecting the application and development of air source heat pump unit. From the analysis of frosting mechanism, a mathematical model was established for airside heat exchanger of the water chiller/heater of air source heat pump. We simulated and analyzed the influence of temperature and relative humidity of outdoor air, windward speed on frosting growth. The law governing frosting growth is simulated, and suggestions are made on how to analyze the performance of air source heat pump with frosting, and measures were proposed for the control of defrosting.
