Abstract

The coordination between NON-AGC units and AGC units is the key for frequency regulation and tie-line power flow regulation under peak load operation mode. Firstly, this paper analyses the relation among primary frequency regulation, secondary regulation and tertiary regulation and presents the strategy about how to reserve maximum response ability adjusting amount of AGC units. Then the coordination condition is defined when NON-AGC units participate in AGC units regulating. Finally, the paper builds the coordination model between NON-AGC units and AGC units. A case study is performed to illustrate the essential features of the proposed model and method.
