Abstract
A method based on Morlet wavelet is proposed to detect underwater acoustic signals by means of the laser interference, which can be used to determine the audible frequency of such signals. The frequency of Morlet mother wavelet is set to the fixed value. The ratio of Morlet mother wavelet to the scale factor changes with the scale factor. According to the ratio, the frequencies of underwater acoustic signals can be acquired. The experimental results prove that the method can be used to detect real-time underwater acoustic signals with a frequency between 1 kHz and 15 kHz.
