Abstract

FH (Frequency-Hopping) is an effective way to improve the reliability of communication system. A simple and practical scheme of power line frequency-hopping communication system is provided, which is divided into the sending section and the receiving section. The matched filter technology is adopted in demodulation. Its bit synchronization, frame synchronization and FH pattern synchronization are designed. The bit synchronization module and the demodulation module share a matched filter demodulator in FPGA (Field-Programmable Gate Array). The lead-lag method is applied in bit synchronization. Its bit error rate is tested in the lab environment of power system. The experimental data show that, when the communication distance is less than 100 meters and the channel encoding applied, the bit error rate is below 1.5%, and it becomes zero when the channel encoding is applied. This project is supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of Heilongjiang (F200508) and Key Project of Heilongjiang Research Program (GC06A130).
