Abstract

The forward-analysis method to determine the construction cable force of cable-stayed bridge was proposed, which only applied the forward calculation according to the construction steps. The divergence of final stage could be minished mostly by the method of least squares. The disadvantages in the traditional back analysis method such as shrinkage and creep in concrete, nonlinear analysis could be avoided easily. The method had been applied in practical engineering. The analysis results showed that the method was accurate and effective.
