Forming technology of hydroforming Aluminum Alloy Tube Components with positive and negative pressure

Abstract

Hydroforming technology with positive and negative pressure is based on the traditional deep drawing, applying hydraulic pressure on the upper surface of the blank to cope with deep drawing at the bottom, and improving the situation of the deformation zone, reducing the load force of the transfer zone, thereby increasing the allowable deformation and improving the forming limit. In this paper, the aluminum alloy with cone bottom is used as a subject, the combination of method on simulation and experiment is adopted, 5A06 aluminum alloy hydroforming process of is simulated with positive and negative pressure, the matching relations on positive pressure and negative pressure and the effect rule on thickness distribution after forming are studied. The best process parameters are obtained and the qualified part is formed with the minimum wall thickness 0.82 mm in experiment.
