abstract = "The feasibility of formation reconfiguration for underactuated spacecraft in elliptic orbits is investigated in this paper. Based on the coupling relationship of the relative orbital states, the linear transformations are performed on the original state vectors to generate two second-order state vectors. We construct an underactuated auxiliary system to compensate for the input saturation for the Tschauner-Hempel equation and thus design an underactuated saturated controller. The stable reconfiguration accuracies of the state variables of the underactuated system are derived based on the Lyapunov method.",
