Abstract

The ceramic coating was prepared in an electrolyte containing EDTA-Ca, NaAlO2 and Na3PO4 by Micro-arc oxidation. The surface of ceramic coating displays a rough, porous structure. The ceramic coating is composed of Al, Ti, Ni, O, Ca and P. Thinfilm X-ray diffraction shows that the ceramic coating is composed of Al2O3 phase. After hydrothermal treatment, the porous composite coating consisting of Al 2O3 and hydroxyapatite was prepared on MAO-treated NiTi alloy.
