Abstract

BaPbO3 powder is fabricated with BaCO3 and PbO by solid reaction at low Pb/Ba mole ratio and at low réaction temperature. Phase transitions of BaPbO3 fabricated with different Pb/Ba mole ratios are studied. The structure of BaPbO3 at present work is cubic perovskite. Neighbor structure of Pb in the BaPbO3 is firstly analyzed by EXAFS. The metallic conduction behavior of BaPbO3 can be understood by the presence of oxygen vacancies in BaPbO3.
