Abstract

Based on the basic principal of polarimetric interferometric phase coherence optimization (PIPCO) and coherent scattering model, an inversion algorithm of forest parameters using Pol-In-SAR data based on genetic algorithm is presented. First, the basic principal of Pol-In-SAR, PIPCO and RVoG model used for scattering analysis of ground surface and vegetation are introduced. Then, the fundamental theory of genetic algorithm and the inversion algorithm based on genetic algorithm are discussed. Experiment result, which employing SIR-C L-Band SLC data, shows that the proposed inversion algorithm based on genetic algorithm could achieve forestry parameters with relatively high accuracy.
