Flow characteristic analysis of constant flux blanking plug

Abstract

In the separate layer water injection system, the blanking plug is a key part to the downhole flow control. Compared with the traditional blanking plug, the constant flux blanking plug can reduce test load and operation times well, so it has a good application prospect in the separate layer water injection system. The bond-graph and state-equation model of a typical constant flux blanking plug is established, the influence of the flow force, damping force and leakage is fully considered; Then the flow characteristic of the constant flux blanking plug is simulated with the 20-SIM software, and it is verified by experiment on the test bench. The results show that the simulation is accurate and has the ability to reflect the details of the flow characteristic.
