Abstract
A novel hybrid topology with the optimised structure for wide range output power supply is proposed in this study. The phase-shifted multiple-full-bridge (PSMFB) converter is composed of multiple full-bridge DC-DC power converters and high-frequency transformers. For different requirements, it guarantees the power capacity with several smaller high-frequency transformers and a smaller filter by a PSMFB with proper design. With the control strategy of only one phase-shifted controller, all the modules can fulfil the output change with the phase-shifted angle. The effectiveness of the proposed converter was verified using simulation and experimental results of a 1 kW converter system.
