Flexible model of a hypersonic vehicle based on the influence of velocity field and axial forces

Abstract

This paper describes a new method for modeling the flexible mode of a scramjet hypersonic vehicle. The vehicle is affected by the axial tension/pressure and velocity field during the flight, thus the flexible mode of the vehicle will perform some different characteristics when compared with those under the influence of static field, This paper deduce the expression of the flexible model and the frequency with respect to it, then providing some analytic result. Additionally, this paper considers the phenomenon of the mass variation of the vehicle during the flight, then, reveals the relationship between the mass variation and flexible mode shape. Based on the modeling, some simulation results of the mode shape are also given.
