Abstract

In this study, the fatigue property of arc-shaped cutout region in orthotropic steel bridge crossbeam in multiaxial stress states is investigated. The analytical equation of traction structural stress method considering normal structural stress and shear structural stress is applied for analyzing multiaxial fatigue of crack initiation. It is found that the arc-shaped cutout in OSB crossbeam is in multiaxial stress states and 9th spot in arc-shaped cutout region under specified loading conditions is evaluated as crack initiation position.
