Research output: Chapter in Book/Report/Conference proceedingConference contributionpeer-review

Abstract

The sealed relayisone of main electronic componentsin the national defense electronicsystem. It can transmit signal, executecontrolanddistribute power for system etc. The sealed relay'sreliabilityaffectsdirectlyreliability of the wholenational defense electronicsystem. The FMECA method isapplied widely at present as reliability analysis method, and it has played an importantrole in ensuring product reliability. This paper, using FMECA,is to improve reliabilityof the sealed relayin design. Allpotentialfailuremodes, failurereasonsand failureeffects for the sealed relayare listed here. The evaluation criterion of the criticalfailuremodes is establishedthrough qualitativecriticality analysis based oncriticality matrixdiagram. Then takinga certain type of aerospace relay as anexample, the paper analyzes its criticalfailuremodesand failurereasons, and provides the corresponding corrective actions (ways of improvements).
