Failure law for reticulated shell under impact

Research output: Contribution to journalArticlepeer-review

Abstract

In order to make sure load conditions and structures conditions which lead to the serious impact damage to structure, that is relationship between maximum response/failure mode and initial condition, to determine impact failure rule of reticulated shell. Firstly, better relationship between impact failure mode and total impact energy of reticulated shell obtained (E TK) is discovered. Relationship between E TK for once impact failure and initial impact kinetic energy (E) is built by transfer coefficient of kinetic energy (φ). Then coefficient of global collapse is proposed to evaluate the anti-impact ability of structure. Moreover, failure law of global collapse under different initial conditions (impact position, impact angle, ratio rise to span ⋯) is obtained by numerical analysis.
