Abstract

Al2O3/3Y-TZP laminated composite was fabricated using the tape casting and hot-press sintering. The microstructure was observed by SEM. The as-received material was deep-drawn at high temperatures to research its superplasticity. The results show that the microstructure of the material sintered at 1550°C has fine grain and strong interfaces. When the strain rate is constant, the forming temperature has great influence on the superplasticity of Al2O3/3Y-TZP laminated composite. The greatest deformation height of deep-drawing was obtained at 1500°C. It is worse at higher or lower forming temperatures.
