Abstract

This paper introduces a new method for building information extraction using polarimetric data. Based on the analysis of building feature, the new method decomposes the scattering information into three simple mechanism, i.e., odd-bounce, even-bounce, and cross-bounce, for building extraction. Experiments using full polarization SLC data acquired by CONVAIR SAR are performed and the results are analyzed in the paper.
