N2 - the battery pack is an indispensable emergency power supply equipment for transport aircraft. The conformity verification of the battery pack for transport aircraft is the important contents of product development and airworthiness safety, the explosive containment verification test of the battery pack is of particular concern to the reviewer for its destructiveness, unrepeatability and high risk. The battery pack is designed with one-way valve and vent hole, and there is no reference containment test procedure applicable to the battery pack which are not sealed or which have apertures in the case and lid. In this paper, the containment test procedure of the transport aircraft battery pack is studied from two aspects of engineering test and airworthiness verification, and the test verification is completed by taking the cadmium nickel battery pack of a certain type of aircraft as an example. The results show that the containment procedure of the designed is reasonable and feasible, and can verify the compliance of the transport aircraft battery pack to the airworthiness standard in the explosion environment. The test procedures, methods and results are approved by the reviewer. The containment test procedure and technology formed can provide strong support for the subsequent containment test of the transportation aircraft battery pack.
