Abstract

The fault in suction and discharge valves of reciprocating compressors model 2D12 usually occur in unplanned servicing. The fault features of valves which have many rings are difficult to extract. In the work, a lot of experiments about the leaks of broken rings, ring leaks and broken springs were made on the 2D12 reciprocating compressors in the factory. The sound over the every valve caps were collected by the B&K sensors and NI (National Instruments) products. In the paper, the sound signal of the special work passages about valves are analyzed with the time-frequency method, the fault feature pictures about the failures of rings and springs are given.
