Abstract

Geopolymer is a kind of environment-friendly building material that is currently used to substitute for the position of Portland cement. As a new type of construction material, the main reaction product of geopolymer is a three-dimensional reticular structure N-A-S-H gel. It initiates the polymerization reaction to produce N-A-S-H and C-S-H gels and forms a new geopolymer material after the addition of calcium-rich materials. In the current stage of research, the cementitious materials for the traditional geopolymer are mostly metakaolin and fly ash. Completely Decomposed Granite (CDG) has been used as the main cementitious material for the preparation of geopolymer, and the effect of calcium-rich materials on the early mechanical property of geopolymer has been studied in this research (paper).
