Abstract

Using biomass to produce high quality oil is increasingly attracting energy research field's attention all over the world. Although there are so many kinds of reactors in use, increasing oil production rate is the key of biomass flash pyrolysis technical. In order to study the technical, a bubbling fluidized bed with a discontinuity feeder is designed. The effects on biomass pyrolysis behavior under different operating parameters including temperature, rate of gas flow and bed depth are investigated. The experimental results show that reaction temperature is the main effect on oil production rate, rate of gas flow and bed depth also affect oil production rate. Under the appropriate condition, the maximum oil production rate may reach 53.8% and the main components of the bio-oil are phenol, organic acid and furan.
