Abstract

Effects of the casting technological factors on the size and uniformity of surface grains of turbine blade castings in Ni based superalloy were studied by comparison of experimental results. It is found that the optimized complex technological factors influencing the surface microstructure of turbine blades have been suggested as pouring temperature, preheated temperature of shell moulds and grain size of inoculant, which eliminate the coarse and non-uniform grains in production, and percent of qualified blades have been increased.
