Abstract

Crack-self-repairing technology has been advanced recently, which is a type of new method of enabling concrete heal damage, recover and improve performance actively and automatically. In this paper, according to the self-repair theory, a type of concrete material with crack self-repairing performance using embedded fibers filled with adhesive is made. Fibers containing adhesives, fracture and release repair chemicals to heal cracks and damage where and when matrix cracks. Secondly, the ability of cracks self-repairing in concrete materialis testified in 3-piont bend tests. Thirdly, self-repairing functionis appraised from closing ratio of cracks, recovering ratio of material strength and figure of acoustic emission signal. Finally, the self-repairing system is constituted to cause adhesive to flow and rapidly reach damage area, the influence of pressure in repair fibers on self-repairing is analyzed and the rational range of pressure is suggested.
