Abstract

This paper addresses the control problem of linear systems considering digital communication constraints, actuator faults, and external disturbances. To ensure rapid convergence and resist the impact of lumped perturbation and quantization phenomenon, a finite-time sliding mode controller (FT SMC) is proposed. Based on this, for reducing computing frequency, this paper adopts the event-triggered method, while an exponential term is designed for the triggering condition to avoid the Zeno phenomenon. Finally, three illustrative examples of the F-404 aircraft engine model are provided to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed control scheme. These examples show that the proposed FT SMC scheme can fast-drive system states to converge in finite time.
