Abstract
This study aims to present practical calculation models to predict the deformation capacity and the progressive collapse resistance of reinforced concrete (RC) frames for design purpose. It is well known that beams, floor slabs and infill walls have significant contributions to progressive collapse resistance of RC frame structures. Considering contributions from RC beams, floor slabs and infill walls, calculation models are proposed based on the summary of available experimental phenomena and data in existing studies. It is shown that the proposed calculation models give acceptable predictions to experimental and numerical data, which can be used as alternative methods for evaluations of RC frame structures in the collapse-resistance design.
