Abstract
The lattice parameter variation was analyzed with X-ray diffraction for the spray formed superalloy in several states. The cooling effect of the material in the spray forming was subsequently estimated, and the concept of comprehensive cooling rate was proposed to characterize and describe integrally this cooling effect experienced in atomization and deposition. The lattice distortion and the extension of solute solid solution were also analyzed.
