Errors analysis of the polar radius and polar angle of non-circular gear cut by NC cutting machine

Abstract

The influence of a numerical control (NC) cutting machine's error on the errors of the polar radius and polar angle of a cut non-circular gear is studied, using NC cutting machine to manufacture a non-circular gear. A computer program is developed to simulate the real manufacture process of a non-circular gear, which provides academic bases to analyze the source of error, advance manufacture precision and study the method of error evaluation and precision measurement of a non-circular gear.
