Abstract

Large space truss structures (LSTS) are quickly becoming a vital type of space structure due to the fast expansion of the outer space field. The equivalent modeling approach has recently attracted the attention of researchers and engineers due to the finite element method's limitations. In order to solve the equivalent beam model (EBM) in terms of frequency, the Wittrick-Williams algorithm based on dynamic stiffness matrix and the equivalent modeling procedure of large space truss structure are introduced in this study. The frequencies obtained by the equivalent model are good agreement with that obtaied by the finite element model, demonstrating the efficiency of the frequency solution method and equivalent modeling.
