Abstract

Advanced guidance laws usually require information other than line of sight to guarantee satisfying homing performance, and filters are usually needed to give accurate and fast estimation of such information. This process is called target tracking. Two novel mindsets of target tracking have been considered in this paper. The first one is using target orientation information to improve tracking performance for non-linear terminal engagement, and the second one a fast MMAE/UKF algorithm introduced to guarantee both effectiveness and efficiency. Simulation results prove the validation of the introduced methods.
