Abstract

A method for multiplexing series FBG sensors, called the improved constructing spectrum method, is proposed. This method which does not ignore effects of spectral shadowing and multiple reflections can identify two serial high-reflectance gratings working in the same channel. Thus the multiplexing capability of the sensing system is double.
