Abstract

We prepared highly [00 l]c-textured 0.1CoFe2O4-0.9Bi2WO6 (0.1CFO-0.9BWO) magnetoelectric composite ceramic via the Template Grain Growth method, aiming to enhance the ferroelectric and piezoelectric properties through texturization. The obtained highly textured 0.1CFO-0.9BWO composite ceramics exhibit enhanced remanent polarization (17.48 μC/cm2 at 150 kV/cm). The piezoelectric coefficient value d33 of textured 0.1CFO-0.9BWO ceramic is 14.3 pC/N, which is over 3 times higher than that of the randomly oriented ceramic. Texturization technology provides a new strategy for preparing magnetoelectric composite ceramics with enhanced electrical properties.
