Abstract

The increasing popularity of power constrained mobile computers applications drives the need for evaluating and analyzing power in all components of a system. Software constitutes a major component of systems where power is a constraint. Most of research in this field analyzes software cost based on open source applications, a few about proprietary (closed source) ones. In this paper we have developed power evaluating model to evaluate proprietary software power consumption in battery driven mobile devices.
