Electron-cloud instability in a below-critical magnetron diode

Abstract

Processes in the electron cloud of the magnetron diode are studied by trajectory analysis, taking into account space-charge effects. A relationship is revealed between the processes and abnormally high values of anode current and back-bombardment power at below-critical anode voltages.
