Abstract
Bi2O3-B2O3-SiO2 glass brazing material is used to join Li-Ti ferrite. In order to investigate the influence of bonding process on the electronic and magnetic properties, XRD and SEM are applied to characterize the phase composition and microstructure of Li-Ti ferrite joints and the magnetic and dielectric properties of joints are also measured. The results show that successfully bonding of Li-Ti ferrite with Bi2O3-B2O3-SiO2 glass brazing material is obtained and nearly no holes or cracks are observed in the joints. When joining temperature rises, the weld width decreases. Meanwhile, Bi5Ti3FeO15 phases begin to form and its quantity increases gradually. Low bonding temperature and introduction of glass interlayer and Bi5Ti3FeO15 phases at the interface do not affect the magnetic performance. Introduction of glass interlayer does not affect the dielectric constant, but increases the dielectric loss tangent. The introduction of Bi5Ti3FeO15 phases at the interface makes the dielectric constant and dielectric loss tangent increase simultaneously.
