Elastoplastic time-history analysis of steel frame with unbonded Braces

Research output: Contribution to journalArticlepeer-review

Abstract

Unbonded braces can undergo fully-reversed axial yield cycles without loss of stiffness or strength, and have superior seismic energy dissipation characters, with which the main steel frame is protected and seismic performance is improved under earthquake. This dissertation has completed the time-history analysis and compared the seismic response of the steel frame structures with or without unbonded brace. The influence of stiffness ratio on structural seismic response and energy dissipation performance of the steel frame structures with or without unbonded brace has been analysed.
