Abstract

In order to get further understanding of the elasto-plastic stability behavior, more than 430 examples for the complete-process analysis considering geometry nonlinear and material nonlinear of Schwedler single-layer latticed domes with various geometric parameters have been carried out and the critical load is concluded. The effect of initial imperfection, asymmetric load distribution, supporting conditions, especially the effect of material nonlinear to the stability behavior of this kind of domes is considered, and through the comparisons between the results of elasto-plastic analysis and elastic analysis, rules about the elasto-plastic stability behavior is concluded. Based on the work, material nonlinear reduced coefficient for this kind of domes is pointed out, with some useful information for engineering design or theoretical study.
