Abstract

This paper proposes a novel approach for optimizing the total power output of a power station with different generators by analyzing the characteristics of the corresponding efficiency function. It yields the maximum total power supply and the overall efficiency of such stations. As a result of the study, we find out that the optimal control method is to keep the same input rate for each generator, and the optimal switch points should be placed at the same normalization efficiency points of different operating methods.
